Senior Duranya Freeman led the Colorado College women's cross country team to a sixth-place finish in the non-Division I class at the Woody Greeno/Jay Dirksen Invitational Saturday in Lincoln, Neb.

Juniors Allysa Warling and Leah Veldhuisen each posted an individual top-20 result to lead the Colorado College women's cross country team to a fifth-place finish at the CC Invitational Saturday morning at North Monument Valley Park.

Junior Allysa Warling, who finished fourth at the UCCS Rust Buster meet last Friday, has been named the SCAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week.

Final Results

Leah Wessler, who graduated from Colorado College on Monday, was named to CoSIDA's Academic All-District Cross Country/Track & Field Team and now is eligible for Academic All-America consideration.

The Colorado College men's and women's cross country squads showed they can achieve excellence in the classroom as well as on the course.

Nearly 70 percent of the Colorado College student-athletes who competed in fall sports sponsored by the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference earned a spot on the league's Academic Honor Roll for excellence in the classroom.
